Sensory appeal is all about intensifying the experience and targeting the senses.  And this is a fabulous example of a company successfully targeting our sense of sight and taste. These new Dum Dum Pops ads feature three people who are dressed in a fashion that resembles the flavor of the lollipop they eat, Banana, root beer, and a mystery flavor.  The art direction these ads took is incredibly creative for being so simple. The message is obvious; the flavors of the pops are so intense they make you look like the flavor itself. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen ads whose contents seem completely unrelated to the product they were so intricate or far-fetched. Ads that literally made you go, “huh?” So while some may find these ads a little too simple, sometimes simplicity hits home. These are a cleverly ‘Dum’ idea.
