It seems almost hypocritical that France has recently banned smoking in all public places.  The stereotypical image of a Frenchman smoking a cigarette waxing poetic at the local café is now much a thing of the past. Thankfully French architect has Florian Brillet designed an adjustable hood to keep the now exiled smoker cozy and warm while they are sitting outside of the local café or bar. Reminiscent of the design of Metronaps Nap Pod we featured in Clockless the Smoker Bell utilizes a helmet like shape that shields the user and creates an intimate personal environment. The Smoker Bell is mounted by an articulating arm and has an integrated drink stand. It is a good thing that designers are thinking along these lines because as we all know, nobody needs a Pacifier like a nicotine-deprived smoker!
