PayPal has forged a partnership to give it new market reach. The web-based payment service of eBay Inc. has released the PayPal Secure Card just in time for the Christmas season.  The timing will not only reap the benefits of the Christmas shopping spree but will also offer competition for Google Checkout, released a year ago. In partnership with MasterCard, PayPal allows users to pay at sites that don’t accept PayPal directly. The web-based economy is growing so rapidly that partnerships of convenience are sprouting up everywhere. Ultimately, people want something, anything, to facilitate a simple buying process on the Internet that gets them what they want with as little hassle as possible.
