As a child I was always a reader of Nintendo Power. Sword slinging, soda guzzling, Nester reading contest offering, ultra masculine Nintendo Power. Sure the books were sacred to me and my friends, but it was the start of the endless "girls don't play video games" stereotype. Things are changing, with the super cute movement buzzing around Japan, pink is everywhere, including gaming. The pink PSP, Nintendo DS, and Playstation 2 has stamped a girl approved status into gaming and that being a girl and a gamer is ok. The Girls Guide to Gaming is no different, it's pink, it's frilly, and it has all the clues to kick your boyfriend's ass.
