Internet movie downloading, whether done illegally or legally continues to grow. That lull between the theater and DVD release drives many to download illegally. Rather than fight, Fox has decided to cater to Internet release in a new way. They’ll offer major motion pictures online several weeks before they go to DVD. The first movie, Prometheus will be available via UltraViolet Cloud on September 18. Others will have to wait until October 11.

Big retailers like Wal-Mart and Target have downsized with mini store versions. Amazon considers opening a retail store. And Burger King® is testing delivery in Washington, D.C. These big companies aren’t afraid to try formats that intersect customers in new ways. Without changing product offerings, people still become intrigued by the new concept or change of venue.
